Mixing and Coating Technologies in Battery Electrode Manufacturing
Quality Assurance Solutions for Manufacturers of New Energy Vehicle Batteries

Mixing and Coating Technologies in Battery Electrode Manufacturing

Mixing and Coating processes are the first steps in battery cell manufacturing. The quality of a battery cell as measured in performance as well as in cycle life will critically depend on these first steps. It is impossible to correct a low-quality, inhomogeneous slurry mix or an inferior layer on the current collector. Mistakes at this foundational level often come only to light in the final performance test.

This workshop discusses in detail the various process options generally and practically used in these unit operations of mixing and coating. We structure the options and discuss process details, benefits, and disadvantages of each option.

The lithium-ion Rechargeable Cell Passport

Rechargeable cells data sheets are the cell passport and provide detailed performance, safety, storage, disposal, pack design information that allow customers to select the cells for their applications. There is no standard format for cells data sheets and that lead for majority of the cell manufacturer to provide data sheets that lacking information and underestimate cell technology.
