D&V unveils its newest EPT-150 electric powertrain tester

D&V Electronics Ltd, a leader in electric motor and inverter testing to global Tier 1 and OEM clients, unveiled its newest EPT-150 Electric Powertrain tester at the grand opening of Intertek’s Milton Keynes, UK, hybrid vehicle driveline test laboratory on January 14.

Intertek testing plant

“The EPT-150 is a remarkably flexible and powerful modular testing solution, and is setting a new benchmark for state-of-the-art, accurate, best-in-the-world EV motor and inverter testing. The insight gained from the EPT-150’s test results will bring benefits to all members of the EV development process including engineers, scientists and motor/inverter experts that will have the freedom to test new designs,” said Paul Cowx, Business Development at D&V Electronics. Tony Braddon, MD of Intertek Milton Keynes, added, “The future of the automotive industry is changing and moving into a high-tech future where the use of internal combustion engines is being augmented and superseded by hybrid technology, batteries and electric motors.”

The shift in technology away from ICE to EV, combined with a growing world mandate for zero emissions, give rise to the need for sophisticated and revolutionary validation equipment. The EPT-150 answers this need. “It makes perfect sense that global companies like Intertek would choose to expand their UK base when we are the largest market for ultra-low-emission vehicles in Europe,” said British Transport Minister, Robert Goodwill.
