EMP introduces advanced line of electric oil pumps

November 30, 2016 — Engineered Machined Products Inc. (EMP) has introduced several new models of its electric oil pump technology. The new product offerings are to be based off of EMP’s recently launched OP40 electric oil pump. The new product line of Electric Oil Pumps has been expanded to include a higher flow capacity model which doubles the flow capacity of the already existing OP40 pump up to 8.0 gallons per minute.

EMP oil pumpA higher fluid temperature rated model of each pump increasing the continuous fluid temperature operating range from 100 °C up to 130 °C is also planned. Finally, a new integrated BLDC motor drive controller option is available for each model which will support CAN (SAE J1939) communication and control.

All EMP oil pump models feature high efficiency, long life BLDC motor and drive technology available in both 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The pumps are positive displacement type utilizing gerotor pumping element technology for quieter more efficient operation. With discharge pressures up to 100 psi, the pumps will handle a variety of fluid transfer applications including lubrication, cooling, scavenge, and general fluid management.

EMP is a global leader in the engineering, development and manufacturing of advanced electrified oil pumps, water pumps and thermal systems.
